5 out of 5 stars Not Just for Teenagers   November 21, 2009

I have read all the books (and loved them), seen Twilight a hundred times (and loved it) and now I have just seen New Moon and loved that too - and I'm 38. This series will appeal to anyone, in my opinion, even my husband really enjoyed it.

I must admit I did wonder before seeing this film if it would have the same feel as Twilight with it having a new Director but it is every bit as good as the first. The love between Bella and Edward and also Jacob and Bella is very palpable and really well acted. The scenery and backdrops are just as gloomy and eerie and the music creates just the right atmosphere. It's over a year since I read the book, but from memory this film stays pretty faithful to the book and really did it justice.

Whether you're Team Edward or Team Jacob, I'm pretty sure that if you're a fan of the books then you'll be a fan of this too. I loved it!

5 out of 5 stars It's brilliant!   March 2, 2010

I've seen the film as soon as it was out and thought it was brilliant! I know lots of people prefer Twilight to New Moon but personally I don't agree. Maybe because I've only seen the first one on DVD and as you know big screen makes a big difference. But whatever it is New Moon came across to me as more mature and professional. Don't take me wrong, I love Twilight, I watch it so often that it's embarrassing (my husband just laughs at me) but New Moon in my opinion has an edge. Just only the scene in Italy does it for me.
I have to mention here that I didn't read the books. I really want to but decided to wait untill all four films are out. Don't want to spoil it for myself. Don't want to know what happens in the end. And I know film can never match so don't want to be dissapointed watching the 3rd and 4th ones.
Anyway I'm going to preoder a copy now and I simply can't wait to get hold of it (as sad twilighter as I am :-)))

I saw the film last night on the day it first opened, and the cinema was jam packed! I absouloutley adored the series and the film didn't dissapoint.
I would reccomend the film to anyone who has read the books, because some bits are quite obscure if you don't know the storyline. Many people didn't find it as good as Twilight, but I would have to disagree. The whole thing is perfect- All the shots are perfectly tailored, and the underwater scene was especially fantastic. So I think you shouldgive it a go, whether you love or hate it, it's bound to impress.

5 out of 5 stars NO WAY ONLY FOR TEENAGERS.. I'M 43!   December 9, 2009

No way this is just for teenagers, I have been converted into a Twilight Saga Fan recently after watching NEW MOON on exactly the first day it was released in Spain on the 18th of November. I saw Twilight only 3 days before New Moon was released just for the sake of watching it on telly because there was nothing better on. I had no previous knowledge of even who Robert Pattison was but while I was wathing the movie I thought to myself: "Where have I seen that cute face before?" And then, since I am a avid Harry Potter fan, it dawned to me it was good ol' CEDRIC! Only much sexier and mature. I have now all 4 books, Twilight DVD which I watch constanly when my 7 years old is a school or aleep, the book mark, posters all over my room, and all the movies Rob Pattison stars in (not got the pillow case yet, but will do!)and cannot wait for Eclipse to be released in June, which I will be going home to London (I live in Spain)for the Premier in Leicester Square, see if I can get first in line and the take a good look at Rob and maybe a autograph.(Dream on ol' Girl, LOL)and I cannot wait either for the New Moon DVD so I can watch it at home whenever I wish! So there you go, this is not just for teeagers, I am 43, but mind you, I am very good at remembering exactly how I felt, dreamed and acted when I was a teenager myself,so that makes the movies and the books even more enjoyable. I have just finnished reading Twilight and abs adored it, I could not put it down. As I write, New Moon waits patiently on my bedside table so I can start on it tonite. To all you Twilight fans out there I know exactly how the twinging and dazzeling makes you feel and let's all wait patiently for Eclipse to come out. I know, I know, it 's really hard..

I read the Twilight sage as I was going to New York with my teenage daughter and felt it would give us common ground apart from shopping etc. I loved the books the third and second being my favourites.

I took her to see the first movie and whilst enjoying it for me there was something missing something that I could not put my finger on, I was not looking forward to seeing the second for this reason.

It was brilliant, took my husband took my daughter and would take anyone for an excuse to see it again. Now I am awaiting the dvd with eagerness.
